Finally, some color

Fall never comes early in this part of South Carolina, but we're finally getting a little bit of color in the trees. Thanksgiving will be over in a few days and then we'll be gearing up for Christmas. We still haven't had our first frost, but it's gotten down into the high 30's a couple of times. It won't be long now.

This is what my back yard looks like today.

Have a good day, everyone!

  1. I never tire of seeing Autumn photographs. Next we have Christmas. So many good photos on the way, Not being able to get out is not the problem it used to be.

  2. It IS beautiful but I have to admit I much prefer seeing it from this distance! We were surprised to see the fall colors in Seattle in September. Also beautiful and I was also happy to escape!

  3. Looks like a nice fall day there, hopefully the colors brightened your spirits a bit. I'm so sorry about your tooth issues, hopefully you can hang on until January. This has been an awful 2016, hasn't it? I read your previous post over the weekend but then I watched the entire John Oliver ep and it made me laugh so hard I forgot to come back and comment! ;)

  6. Like Chris said above, I hope the sight of those beautiful autumn colours helps a little bit in making you feel better. I was so sorry for you when I read about your tooth problems, and what it means money-wise. Seems very unfair!
I remember the year my parents meant to have new floor boards in their open-plan living-dining area; my Mum needed extensive dentist's treatments and nearly all the money set aside for the new floor ended up with the dentist... She used to joke that she had the new floor in her mouth now.
One or two years later, my parents did manage to have the new floor, and I am sure one of these days, you'll find the good job you deserve and will be able to go to work happily and earn enough so as not to worry too much about such unexpected expenses.

  7. The clear brightly lit blue sky of autumn days always looks so amazing as a backdrop for the brilliant leaves. Isn't it good to look up!

  10. Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone. I'm back from a day trip to see my husband's family, and too worn out to respond individually. But you all are the best! :)
